The rumors have been confirmed and the Symphony No. 9 will be performed in Norrköping this year as part of Christian Lindberg's ongoing cycle for BIS. The performance dates are 29 and 30 November, with performances in Norrköping and Jönköping. The symphony will be curiously paired with Rach's Piano Concerto No. 2 (last year the Symphony No. 6 was paired with Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto). I would think that the symphony alone would be plenty, but oh well.
